The 31st meeting of the Sri Lanka Forum of University Economists was held successfully at the South Eastern University of Sri Lanka on 25th October 2019. Senior Prof. M.M.M. Najim – Vice Chancellor, South Eastern University of Sri Lanka graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Among the participants, Academics representing the member Universities; University of Sri Jayewardenepura, University of Colombo, Rajarata University of Sri Lanka, Uwa Wellassa University of Sri Lanka and Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka, Wayamba University of Sri Lanka, South Eastern University of Sri Lanka, Eastern University of Sri Lanka, Jaffna University of Sri Lanka and General Sir John Kothalawala Defense University were presented at the meeting. The Key-note speech of the forum was delivered by Dr. R.P.I.R. Prasanna, Rajarata University of Sri Lanka on ‘Modeling a Marketing Base Solution for the Paddy Sector Crisis of Sri Lanka”. As decided at the 30th Meeting of SLFUE, the first Workshop on Research Methods in Economics for the SLFUE members was conducted by Prof. Athula Ranasinghe, University of Colombo after concluding the 31st meeting of SLFUE.
