The 13th International Economic Research Conference (IERC) 2024 aimed to provide an open forum for national and international researchers to disseminate their research findings and share ideas. This conference was held at General Sir John Kothalawala Defence University, Rathmalana, on August 9, 2024, with the theme “Back to Basics: Policy Stance as a Way Out of the Economic Crisis.”Dr. Chandranath Amarasekara, Assistant Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, delivered the keynote speech on “Sri Lanka's crisis, recovery, and way forward”. The conference encouraged meaningful discussions on key economic issues and fostered collaboration in seeking solutions.
